Tatty scone stack was awesome. Black pudding, haggis, scones, bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs all amazing. Best breakfast ive had in a long time.
My boyfriend and I went to New Town Fox to experience our first Scottish Breakfast. I had the Veggie version with a poached egg, toast, beans with tomato, vegetarian haggis, vegetarian sausage and potatoes scones. My boyfriend had the traditional one with a fried egg. It was delicious! The atmosphere is really cosy and the restaurant is very well situated. We totally recommend this place. Also, the staff was super nice and with good advice.
I ended up here accidently, I was staying nearby for a couple of days. It looked cozy so I decided to go inside and it was the best decision ever. I very much enjoyed my breakfast here, I will miss this place dearly. Food is really great, let me tell you, pancakes with bacon and maple syrup were truly amazing. Honestly, the best thing I ever had, and I couldn't finish it all, I was so full! Had my first haggis here, it was also delicious. Very good coffee, amazing atmosphere, music is spot on (Rocket Man by Elton John will forever remind me of this place ), and the staff is wonderful. Fantastic young people, I wish you all the best. And compliments to the chef(s). You made my stay in Edinburgh feel very special.
I had an excellent Full Scottish Breakfast. The service was great, fast and efficient. A bit expensive, but I guess that’s Edinburgh for you. My Carmel latte was nice and hot too.
